Our Mission
At Kafou-Legba, our mission is to explore Vodou as the primary ancestral spirituality, and tradition of Haiti. We will study the history, the diverse practices, and the countless loas that constitute the spirituality. Furthermore, we aim to provide a space for artists and artisans to display their work and connect with the community. A place where practitioners from diverse rite and practice can connect and share knowledge. We strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all artists and vodouisant.
Our History
We are dedicated to exploring Vodou as Haiti's primary spiritual tradition. Our focus is on understanding its history, diverse practices, and the numerous loas that form its core. We aim to promote cultural preservation and spiritual awareness through education and community engagement.
Our Network
Here our community is at the heart of everything we do. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where vodouisant & artists of all backgrounds and skill levels can come together to learn and create. Our site is a homegrown place for small artist, spiritual leaders (manbo, hougan, practitioners, merchants,) and minds to connect with the community. In addition, it is a ONE-STOP-Medium. We offer a wide range of artistic cultural services from Vodou artistic supplies, art, & IT services. The state-of-the-art site include multiple level of information. It include the research, the digital art, the painting, the embroidery veve scarves, the sculptures, a printmaking studio, and a digital media. We also have a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who are passionate about supporting Vodou, and preserving the tradition of not just vodou but the Haitian culture and artists.
