Erol Josué is one of the world's best known and most highly respected expert in the centuries old Haitian Vodou religion. Ordained as a Houngan (Vodou priest) in his teens, Erol Josué currently holds the position of General Director of Haiti’s National Bureau of Ethnology, acting as both an academic and living emissary for his birthplace and the Haitian Vodou religion. Josué's newest album, Pèlerinaj (Pilgrimage), is a showcase for Josué's eclectic and innovative blend of contemporary jazz, Haitian sacred songs, Creole folk, improvisation and electronic pop.

Dr Berthude is Haitian Philanthropist. The 20th century reincarnation of the iconic female revolutionist Training Teachers to Transform Haiti.
Dr. Bertrhude Albert is a proud Haitian-American. At the age of 8 she immigrated to the United States from Haiti with her family. Ten years after immigrating, Dr. Albert began her journey to becoming a University of Florida triple Gator. In 2012, Dr. Albert received her BA in English, in 2014 she received her MA in Latin American Studies, and in 2016 she completed her PhD in Agricultural Education and Communication. Throughout her academic journey, Bertrhude received several awards such as UF’s Hall of Fame, UF’s Teaching Assistant of the Year, the International Outreach Award, and more. Her greatest honor however, was co-founding P4H Global.
Dr. Albert currently serves as the CEO of P4H Global. She is committed to seeing Haiti rise to her full potential and destiny through sustainable development and human capacity.
In 2011, while an undergrad at the University of Florida, Dr. Bertrhude Albert co-founded P4H Global. P4H Global is a nonprofit organization aiming to transform Haiti’s educational system by equipping teachers with research-based strategies that impact student success. Since 2011, P4H has trained over 8,000 teachers and is the largest teacher development organization in Haiti. In 2022, P4H was awarded the UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Excellence in Teacher Development.

Darati Makandal
Born on July 25, 1971, Wildner Duma, known as Darati Makandal is a renowned hougan in the Haitian community. He is well recognized for his many contributions and hence wears many different hats in titles. His devoted support in the Haitian media, his presence in the media/radio station his experience and mentorship has he bring fourth his positive message gain his recognition as a journalist.
His elevated contribution, his love, and passion in assisting in the education of the children in Haiti, enlisted him the title of instructor. In addition, Darati Makandal has his footprint in the music and theater industry also. One of his greatest contribution in Haitian vodou and music is the Wonble. His objective when writing the womble was to fight against the syncretism that exist in vodou. He wanted to replace the old priyie gine, as we know by removing the catholic aspect and only integrating the loa and nature. In addition to the Womble. Mr. Darati Makandal is also an artist. He is married, and have five children whom he loves, and cherish.
When interview his humbleness is the outmost when he opiniated about vodou and his inspiration. He described his journey in the most admirable sense. He stated, as a past Jehovah witness, he embraced vodou through his journey as journalist, research and philantropist work in haiti. He later became the president of Jenes Bode National who was directed by Francois Max Gesner Beauvoir. While in the movement, he studied journalism at CRTEOP a school located in Radio Caraibe. Shortly, He started doing research on vodou than where he was introduce to the Priyie dyo which is inclusive of litany of catholic saint. Known As Mambo Aissat Kamita. Aisata Kamita is a female, Haitian activist. Mambo Aisata is well known on the SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM for her courageous and continuous work in the fight for Haitian freedom as the fight for vodou to again her role in the community. When ask she describe her as Mambo, philanthropist activist in militant in the fight for freedom and for vodou. She is an influencer in the march for better Haiti, she fight courageous for vodou to remain his integrity. One of the most goal is to not only fight against the crisis that is going in Haiti but also to find a solution on how to remedy this on gong crisis.

Despite controversy within both the Haitian and Vodou communities, Augustin Saint-Cloux was re-elected as Ati of Haitian Vodou in the 2026 election.
In the presence of Joël Turenne, Director General of the Ministry of Cults, along with senior officials of the Konfederasyon nasyonal vodouyizan ayisyen (KNVA), His Majesty Augustin Saint-Clou was formally installed as Haiti’s National Vodou Ati.
Augustin Saint-Cloud (also styled Ati National King Augustin Saint-Clou) is the supreme spiritual leader of Haitian Vodou. In June 2026, he was formally installed as Haiti’s National Vodou Ati during a high-profile ceremony at La Réserve restaurant in Pétion-Ville, Haiti.
A prominent spiritual figure, he advocates for social cohesion, youth development, and interreligious dialogue in Haiti. He also leads public ceremonies and peace marches and speaks on major Vodou traditions, including Fèt Gede.
Current Focus: Unifying Haitian Vodou
As of July 2026, Augustin Saint-Cloud’s major current project is the effort to structure and unify Haiti’s Vodou sector following his historic investiture as National Vodou Ati. Working with the National Confederation of Haitian Vodouists (KNVA) and other major spiritual organizations, including Zantray, his work centers on the following priorities:
· Interreligious peacebuilding: Leading interfaith collaboration and peace marches across Port-au-Prince to oppose gang violence and promote national unity.
· UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage nomination:Supporting the joint Haiti-Benin application to have Vodou’s arts, social practices, and spiritual knowledge formally recognized by UNESCO.
· Institutional recognition: Collaborating with Haiti’s Ministry of Cults to integrate Vodou more fully into official civic and national frameworks.
Together, these initiatives position Saint-Cloud’s leadership around religious cooperation, cultural preservation, and greater institutional recognition for Haitian Vodou.
